Storm Big Three Dominate

The Seattle Storm and Phoenix Mercury kept their WNBA semifinal series alive Tuesday night, winning Game 4 in front of their home crowd. The Storm evened the series 2-2, forcing a Game 5 in Phoenix on Thursday. Breanna Stewart led the Storm with a game-high 28 points on 10-of-19 shooting, including 3-of-7 from three-point range. Jewell Loyd added 21 points, hitting 4-of-8 from deep, and Sue Bird chipped in with 14 points and seven assists.

The Mercury were led by Diana Taurasi's 20 points. Brittney Griner struggled offensively, finishing with just eight points on 3-of-10 from the field. The Storm dominated the boards, outrebounding the Mercury 35-24. Stewart led the way with 10 rebounds, while Loyd added eight. The Storm also forced 13 turnovers, including five from Taurasi.

The Storm took control of the game in the second quarter, outscoring the Mercury 30-16. Stewart and Loyd combined for 22 points in the period, helping the Storm open up a 10-point lead at the half. Taurasi kept the Mercury in the game with 11 points in the second quarter. The Mercury cut the lead to five points in the third quarter, but the Storm responded with a 9-0 run to take a 14-point lead. The Storm held on in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.

The Storm will look to close out the series in Game 5 on Thursday in Phoenix. The Mercury will need to win at home to force a Game 6 back in Seattle.
